Uzu for iPad has garnered several accolades, including being named Apple's "App of the Week" and receiving the distinction of being the Best Generative Art and Sound App in Apple Rewind. It has also reached the coveted #1 spot in the App Store and has been featured in Apple's "App Store Essentials Hall of Fame" and the "Year of the iPad" Video at the iPad Keynote. Additionally, it has been endorsed as an Apple Staff Favorite.

The media has spoken highly of Uzu, with Wired Magazine describing it as "mind blowing" and Ars Technica noting that it is "endlessly complicated, simply fun". Not to be outdone, Chris Pirillo proclaimed it as "absolutely the coolest iPad app I've ever come across."

Uzu offers users a unique experience as a Generative Design Playground. It combines math, physics, art, and toy elements to create an engaging virtual space. Drawing inspiration from a range of sources like spirographs, fireworks, planetariums, lava lamps, light sabers, pen lasers, tesla coils, christmas lights, and graphing calculators, Uzu presents a dynamic display of color and motion. You have the ability to freeze and manipulate Uzu in 3D space while interacting with spirographic curves using your fingers. With 10 different modes of real-time animation that can be accessed by adjusting the number of touches on the screen, the possibilities for exploration are endless.

Uzu offers a host of features including a fully dynamic generative particle system, the ability to create stunning background images for your iPhone or iPad, 21 unique animation modes that can be customized at each touch level, 55 pre-loaded factory presets, complete customization options for all features and settings, the ability to create and save user presets, and even the option to reconfigure animation modes to match your preferences. Rotational, translational, and reflective symmetry options are available for each animation mode, providing thousands of possible combinations to experiment with. Additionally, Uzu allows you to draw on the screen and even make the animations respond to microphone input. If you ever need any assistance while using Uzu, there is an in-app quick help feature available.
